Rachael Van Schoik
A Biologist from California, she has a BA in Biology from Earlham College and a Masters of Science in Environmental Technology Management from Arizona State Univeristy. As a science educator who has worked at the California Academy of Science, she is committed to student-led exploration and immersive science learning. 
With the Bay Area's only Science and Creative Writing Summer Camp, campers ages 7 to 11 will unplug and get outdoors! Spending their days exploring, mapping, and writing about one of the most unique and diverse parks in the worldan oasis, designed and built right here in our backyard.
 
With our direction and their trusted field notebooks, they will carefully examine all that Golden Gate Park has to offer:

The varying mix of museums and conservatories—from the Botanical Gardens, and the Conservatory of Flowers; to the Academy of Science and the Ruth Asawa Observatory.



Plant Life like nowhere else—with a collection that rivals the Rainforest.

Antona Stanley
A long-time San Francisco resident, she has a BA in English from the University of San Francisco, and a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Since graduating she has taught creative and academic writing at elementary schools all across the city.
